the mites dun really move. they stick to the fur...never see them move before. usually concentrated at a few areas on the piggy's body

That's good news! But he still needs to put on more weight... how did you convert him to pellets? My newest pig isn't eating much pellets either.... he eats lots of hay... And you've named him Faith? Haha..i'd always thought that was a gal's name..

I hand feed him solid pellets for about a week but still left the soaked pellets on his cage...sometimes when he doesn't want to eat the soaked pellets then have to use syringe to feed him. I think he started on solid pellets cos the soaked ones would go bad within a few hours...it really stinks. I started putting in solid pellets only and he ate them. Named Faith cos he's still so trusting despite what he went through, still very friendly...and he's more noisy then my Ginger now.

You mean you put the soaked pellets into the syringe to feed him? My present new piggy doesn't eat much pellets too..but he's starting to improve after he saw my two other pigs eating them as well... Not bad.. 460-520g... a 60g difference... slow but at least there's progress... his weight should at least be around 900, right?
