not too bad. i used to feed them them Encore, but i think they use alfafa-based meals whereas owbow uses timothy based pellets. oh yeah, they have fish meal content inside the.. smells a little fishy right? check out wheekwheek's website where he comments on brown's stuff

ya got fish meal, but didnt smell fishy to me. cos prob fish was not used as the main ingredient lor. alfalfa based is ok, cos mine are all below 4 months, but absorbic acid was listed, maybe they used it as a preservative liao?? Browns was one of the better ones the pet shop has lor, so i bought it, the lady reccommended me Sluis, she said its ultra premium....... but its not pellets, its actually those mixes, which i gave it a pass cos my pigs are picky, they might end up eating one type of mix and leave the rest alone. sluis price was similar to oxbow.....but i dun think ingredients wise its good..

Ascorbic acid is vitamin C. Its fine. Fish meal is meat based. Cavies are vegetarian unlike hamsters who eat meat. Enough said.

And will they still eat vege after that? Cos my friend's tortoise became a carnivore after being introduced to meat... didn't touch anymore vege after that..

actually hamsters are omnivores, in the wild of course they don't have chicken meat to eat..hehe.. but they will eat small insects and such, for plants would be different kinds of seeds and leaves lor.. but for guinea pigs they are strictly herbivores, so best to avoid any meat ingredients in their food, including fish of course
