hehe..no offence but I just found it funny to be reading these stuffs about water bottles at the 'toilet sand' thread.. anyway i tried the sippy bottle before but not for my pigs, for my gerbils instead..it was a total mess.. cos gerbils are natural chewers.. and they destroyed the whole bottle.. *grrr* expensive u know.. haha.. hanoman> do u put the sippy bottle very high up, cos the drinking tip is facing right down, so I thought it wasn't very easy for them to drink leh, not like a normal bottle which tip is slanted.

have to adjust the height of the bottle as they grow so they can drink the water in comfort.

No need to be so high as long your gp can reach without need to stand on their back leg then should be ok. You should see how they put their mouth into the bottle, very cute. Luckily they never chew on the bottle. Isn;t it too big for gerbil? I bought the biggest bottle (600ml).

nah i got the smaller one for my gerbils, cos I keep then in tanks, so the bottle is inside the tank also mah..but they jump onto the top and start chewing the cover, till the plastic bits all drop into the water.. then they chewed the outer plastic... for ur gps u put the bottle outside right? so no prob of chewing mah..anyway dun think they will go destroy their bottles like gerbils also lah..

yeah.. they can jump quite high... and they are compulsive diggers.. just like to dig here dig there, if there's no bedding to dig they'd just dig at the corners of the tank.. I give them 1/2 tank full of bedding and cardboard pieces.. they'd dig tunnels all around.. hehz.

yeah they can, but I don't give them wheels, how to when the whole cage is filled with beddings? hehe.. think they enjoy burrowing more, afterall they live underground in the wild

They're not as aggressive as hamsters, are they?

ey..hamsters very aggressive meh? think it depends on individuals ba.. most hamsters are very sweet as well if they are tamed properly. Same to go with gerbils. how they are tamed, and their individual character lor.
