My piggies will stand with their front paws on the shallow tub which allow me to wash and rinse their butts properly because they poo poo alot. With Johnson Baby Shampoo , they smell so good like babies , make you want to cuddle them more.

Hi GP experts, I m a newbie to GP and just gotten him 2 weeks ago. He is now 1.5months old. I just gave him a bath during the weekend. I did not put him in the basin just like that cos afraid that he may run away, so i held on to him with my left hand and used my right hand to splash, scoop water to wash him. after the bath, while i was abt to dry him, he pee all over...making his white portion of fur all yellow and smelly!!!i had to rinse him again. Do u think he is scared until he peed? poor little thing keep looking at me with his round eyes,so cute..haha is there a max time he can remain wet till i get hairdryer to dry him? i scared he catch cold while bathing..

Personally I wouldn't bath any cavy below 3 months of age. Despite precautions that we take, cavies COULD still catch cold. And I would think that chances of an older cavy recovering from a cold is higher than a young cavy.
