The following contains instructions on how to recycle your Breeder's Choice Cat Litter (courtesy of Wheekwheek)(I keep telling myself I'll do it but keep putting it off... ;D):
Sun or air drying is fine as long as you don't over do it. Nothing can remove "bacteria" except strong heat. All the drying process does is save you money 'cos the dry bedding can be re-used.
Depending on how well you dry it, it shouldn't stink. Unless of course if you have been reusing it so often till its saturated then it will stink.
Spread the wet bedding out to dry for 2 days. After that put it in a box. Added fresh bedding to it & mix. Next time you refresh bedding, do the same thing. After a while you will have one big box of semi-fresh & semi recycled bedding.
I use it for 1.5 months. After that I throw it all out & restart the same process with a new bag of BC.

Hmmm...does it also work for corn cob? Cos that's what I'm using... Nope! Corn cob breaks down into powder when wet & it can't be reused. Frankly, I don't recommend corn cob 'cos it has the tendency to become mouldy quite fast.

Oh...but my corn cob never turns powdery....how come ah? Could it be different branding or something? That's odd. Corn cob supposed to absorb moisture then break into powder. Maybe not wet enough?

Anything can grow in most kinds of bedding.. except perhaps wood shavings.. i found a few maggots in my BC before..weird.. cos it was like barely 5 days after i changed the litter and cleaned out the cage.. darn houseflies...

Well corn cob is my first bedding I bought, so far the odour control seems fine , as for insects perhaps I've not used it long enuff for them to start feasting yet ;D...I change once weekly, is that enuff? Actually I started off looking for cat litter b4 I actually bought the corn cob, but the staff at Sam's told me that corn cob was better, without stating why....haha so I jus bought to try see how...has anyone compared the economy of using BC or corn cob?
