100 plus there... choco with me liao... but cant keep for too long... has have got some mites prob though... not too serious... on ultra care 8 in 1 now... and is improving... tried putting him and joey out in the play pen and a fight almost broke out... haiz... if not i really wanna keep him for myself too... hahahaha...

Are you sure it's mites and not ticks or fleas? Cos I think mites can't be seen..

my bailey used to have that prob on her when i first adopted her too... take a week or two to get rid of them... once the fur is clear of them liao den safe liao... best prevention method is to keep the place clean... hehe... simple as that... i tell you this prob of his b4hand cos i see that u are keen... and i dun wan u cheat or bluff my way through to get him to a home... but if u have secdond tots... its fine...  |

I don't mind at all that he's been sick before, Vanessa's cavy was way sicker and I didn't mind adopting him, only she decided to keep him. But can I wait till he's recovered? Cos I'll get scolded for bringing a sick cavy into the house... my mom and maid are sticklers for hygiene...

Hmmm? No.. vanessa's cavy was confirmed to have mites... Dr Ling did a test... I don't think you can see anything for mites... and mites are REALLY bad....scratch and scratch and scratch till there are bald and sore patches..

so maybe those are fleas??? hahhaa... he not sick at all lah... jus this thingy due to hygiene... i'll try my best to get him well, but personally cant keep him long too... so cant garantee he'll still be around b4 he's complete 'creature' free...  |

Unfortunately I haven't had any personal experience with sick guinea pigs, so I can't determine what he's suffering from...  |

hahahaha... its not sores or anything... but got little little red spots on the tip of the coat... maybe a week or two... not sure myself... but if u are going to quarantine him anyway, u can consider getting a bottle of ultra care 8 in 1 ticks and flea spray... i use that to clean my cage weekly also... for hygiene purposes... but den again, its up to you... jus hope that choco will get to a good and loving home...
i see that u love ur piggies alot too...

Yeah..i do! It would be irresponsible to put a sick piggy near them and cause them to get sick themselves... Well..is the ultra care 8 in 1 working? Cos if it's really mange mites, then the spray won't work, cos it's for fleas and ticks only...

Ahh... if it's working then it should be ok..probably not so serious as skin and mange mites.... can you PM me your number? I think I can only get him sometime next week (latest next weekend)... that's cos I have a few assignments and tests coming up.. is that ok? If he's still not completely well by then, I will go buy the spray..no probs... I will sms you when I'm ready to get him.. |
