I finally got their coroplast base done, and they have moved into their new cage! Okie, so it's not very big, but at least it's new and nice. And I put this husband and wife back together. Take a look at their happy expectant faces, at being with each other again! Sorry, but Bubbles decided to hide, dang it. lolz She's like that, a timid little squeak. Thanks so much to Emmababy for giving me advice and wheekwheek, I followed the instructions on your website! This is not a full coroplast and cube cage, but I'm quite happy with it cos I made it all by myself. Considering that I'm lousy with my hands, am just glad it came out relatively fine. lolz She really doesn't want to come out, so I can't do anything.

This is Oregon. He looks like some fat cotton ball. Haha~ Here's their cage. It doesn't have many toys in it, due to lack of space. But these 2 love playing with the hanging wood toy. It actually swirls and turns with the wind and when they push it. I've seen Oregon push it and stare at it till it stops, then he pushes it again. lolz He looks fascinated by it then. It's actually a toy made by a chinchilla friend of mine, but anyone can make it actually. It's quite simple. But I paid her to make 3 for me, cos I'm lousy with tools. The other 2 are used by my chins now, and all the pets seem to really like it.

I can ask her if she still has anymore to sell. She doesn't frequent forums. Yes, this cage is a 2 ft cage, it's a little small, but I can't afford a bigger cage. Anyway, I'm keeping only 2 pigs in here, so I'm happy with it. I dun wan to use such a large fiddlestick, as it'll only take up cage space and they don't alwiz use it. Besides, I actually prefer them running around than hiding in the tunnel. They take turns using it, but they don't fight over it. That's the chemistry between these 2 pigs. Anyway, there are times when the fiddlestick is actually empty, cos both like to sleep outside. I'm happy with the cage I made, and Oregon and Bubbles seem to be happy too, so that's that. Maybe next time, I'll build a bigger cage. But not now. piggywiggy, let me know if you want to buy the hanging wood toy. I'll call my fren and ask if she has anymore. I paid her $8 for 1.

lol Ya, I was wondering if I shld put the fiddlesticks inside, but I tot just leave it there and see how. The 2 of them take turns, so life is peaceful. lol Oregon only likes to stick his head in. His bum will remain outside of the tunnel. He looks real funny when he does that. Like his head disappeared.

Where did you get your pigs from? Are they imported..?

They were locally bred, but it's possible that their parents were imported. I bought Oregon from a breeder who has since stopped keeping guinea pigs. His parents were very lovely too, both very nice texels. I bought Bubbles from another breeder, who bought her parents from a pet shop. Bubbles is a texel, but she has alpaca blood I think.

I think they are unusual pigs ya. lol I paid $150 each for them. I think that was the going price for texels during that time. The price seems to have dropped alot since.
