How much do you set aside ecah month for the gp expenses (food, bedding)?
How many cages you have, since you got 12 cavies. I guess 6 cages, so 2 cavies each.
One big cavy family

erm..I haven't really calculated the total expense monthly, I buy their stuffs together with my hamsters'...amount to > $100 each time I stock up..but they don't really last 1 month though...I just buy again when the stuffs get depleted...don't really plan my expenditures well..haha..
I've got 4 cages only.. The coronet family in one, Marble and Ash in one, the rest of the 3 boys in one an the other 4 girls in one.
emmababy> thanks=) Other than the coronets, and Ash and Marble, the rexes and rest of the gps are given to me by my friend. Was supposed to help her rehome them, but ended up not willing to give them up liao..haha..not really sure where she got them..she was from this forum also..lennie..don't think she still comes in anymore.

So in the end, only one of her gp adopted is it? blink blink haha, gp really can make some people become addicted. We want more and more and more and more. I dont mind having few more, pity I got no time.

Yeah boy..i want a few more too! But the effort and cost of cleaning out cages.. When you think that the money buying breeders choice which the cavies poop and pee on can buy you a nice meal at a restaurant... And yet, I love my pigs so much I don't mind spending money on them... Joyce, was the coronet family bought at a pet shop? Which one?

hanoman> yeah..only ur White was adopted.. haha.. cos she had to move urgently, so she moved all her pigs to my house..wanted me to help her rehome, but I fell in love with all of them.. hehz..
mel> nope, they weren't from petshops, I got the pair from talia(was from this forum in the past as well), who got them from Crystal(or known as Taz in this forum). They were babies from Crystal's own pigs.

Oooh..how much did you buy them for, huh? How old are they now? And how's the baby coronet doing? It's a gal, right? Or a boy?

I got them both from Talia for $150, while she got them at $150 each.. their parents were imported I think. they are both 2 yrs+ liao. Arnie slightly older by a few months. yeah baby Rain is a girl. she's doing fine, growing very well =) I decided to neuter daddy Arnie and leave him with mother and child. I tried introducing him again to marble and Ash, but a fight broke out. No choice. I don't want Sugar to give birth again, u know 2 births of 5 babies altogether but only 1 survivor. Firstly scared that the future babies wouldn't make it as well, secondly for Sugar's sake, don't want her to go through it so many times. thirdly, I don't want him to hump Rain as well, and lastly I don't want to let Arnie stay alone even though I have extra cages, since the other boys can't accept him(or rather he can't accept them..haha) So many reasons for me to neuter him.. so.. Already booked an appointment at Namly clinic. Will bring him there next next saturday. Hopefully everything would turn out fine.
